Reminder: The next date to change your daylight saving time is November 4, 2007 The Extended DST (Daylight Saving Time, not Daylight Savings Time or Sunlight Saving Time) on RiteAlarm™ Clock Is your current alarm clock working with the new Extended DST? Most old alarm clock either do not have DST or the old DST that is no longer in use! Our RiteAlarm™ clock has it so you won't be bothered by DST changes, good in the U.S. and Canada. Beginning in 2007, Daylight Saving Time is extended one month and begins for most of the United States at 2 a.m. on the Second Sunday in March to 2 a.m. on the First Sunday of November. In short, it is "Springing forward, Fall back, for an hour". The phrase "Spring forward, fall back" helps people remember how Daylight Saving time affects their clocks. At 2 a.m. on the second Sunday of March, we set our clocks forward one hour ahead of standard time ("spring forward"). We "fall back" at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November by setting our clock back one hour and thus returning to standard time. Daylight Saving Time - for the U.S. and its territories - is NOT observed in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and by most of Arizona (with the exception of the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona). Most parts of Canada also observe the Daylight Saving Time, but in Newfoundland and Labrador Daylight Saving Time begins at a different dtime on the same day, i.e., one minute after midnight (12:01 a.m.) local time on the second Sunday in March. and return to Standard Time at one minute after midnight (12:01 a.m.) local time. Some areas of Canada not using Daylight Saving Time include, Fort St. John, Charlie Lake, Taylor and Dawson Creek in British Columbia, Creston in the East Kootenays, and most of Saskatchewan (except Denare Beach and Creighton). Don't be caught in a surprise by DST, and our RiteAlarm™ clock has the following DST schedule up to year 2050:
